How did you restart it (click buttons, log out then restart, hard reboot)?

Did your computer make any sounds before it started to freeze up?

What version of linux do you use, have you done any rebuilds of the kernel
or any other important part, and what window manager do you use?

When you start your computer, is anything noticable that is different
about it?

Can you boot into another OS (like, a Knoppix or other CD-based linux) fine?
