I would be careful with the WiFi card --- double-check to make sure it has
drivers... Everything else will near certainly work fine (well, I never
used RAID).. As for distro... I imagine the biggest question is whether
VMWare can run on it or not. I don't know enough about it to comment. You
can do just about everything else on any recent distribution's 64-bit
version without any trouble.
