Jason –
This page on Wikipedia lists a couple virtual systems that
support IA-64, including Xen (port in progress) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_virtual_machines
QEMU sez it does… Open VS looks possible, xen might
be be nice. Still need a host OS tho.
There is no longer a cu windows list (used to be nt list,
however there is a virtualization list -

Subject: HP Itanium Woes....
Hello Gang,
So, first off, is there a CU Windows List?
So I wrote that I got an HP Integrity rx2600 server with 16GB of RAM and
Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition for Itanium processors.
There is no software for it!! NONE!
There are others like QEMU which I cannot get to work.
HP says that Redhat Enterprise is supported, so is SUSE Enterprise, HP/UX,
OpenVMS
But since I am not at Campus anymore I cannot obtain Redhat. I tried Suse
Enterprise Trial, but my system does not seem to recognize the DVD (from
the EFI-Shell)
Even Java from SUN, I have to compile my own ia-64 version (and I dont own an
old copy of Visual Studio 6, just VS 2005 Standard Edition)
Does anyone have any thoughts for me? Not being able to virtualize is really
holding up my progress work wise at this point.
Thanks!
Jason
