Hi Desh,

The messages about b43 make it sound like you must have a Broadcom
chipset in your wireless card, not Intel, as the instructions involving
iwl3945 assume.  To find out for sure, you should run the command:

lshw -C Network

It's easy enough to get Broadcom cards up even without an Internet
connection, but depending on the exact model, the steps required will be
different.  So before giving instructions, it would be good to see the
output of lshw -C Network in order to figure out whether you need to use
b43 (the "next-generation" Broadcom native Linux driver), bcm43xx (the
older one) or (as is still the case for a couple Broadcom chipsets I
think) ndiswrapper (a utility to drive your wireless card using the
Windows drivers).  So please send that output along and we can figure
out what to do.

Also, I don't know if the cslug list is intended for back-and-forth
support threads like this; if we should be limiting this only to
interested parties, please someone let us know.  Otherwise I'll keep
replying all.
