Hi,
Two positions for Student employees here at PCG
1:
An all-around person for everything from programming to
taking out the trash.
Self starter able to take vague, mumbled & incomplete directions
and actually get something done.
Should be able to (or eager to learn how to) do most of the following:
Troubleshoot & repair desktop & server systems
Windows/Linux/MacOS installs/update
Take out the recycling & run trivial errands.
Change toner.
Some programming & soldering (rarely at the same time)
Be properly subservient to older people who know less than you about
almost everything.
2:
Hotshot programmer, maniacal enough to think working on Windows
device drivers might be fun. Conversant with the usual languages, etc.
Support development of interfaces of motion sensitive devices to design
software.
PCG (www.graphics.cornell.edu) is a graduate research department working on
a ton of interesting research related (often obscurely) to Computer Graphics
Work study a plus but not a requirement.
10hrs/week expected committment.
kindest regards,
hurf
